This cooling stand is great for protecting you Wii gaming system. As other reviewers have said it is loud but only when you first turn it on but give the cooling stand a few minutes and it turns into a light humming sound. The sounds from the game and the sounds you make playing the games far exceeds those of the cooling stand. Having a place to store one remote while using the other and being able to charge 2 AA
