The Sims 2: Castaway

This is a fun stand alone game. You basically are stranded on a deserted island and have to live or escape. You have the 'needs' system of the Sims to get you along.

By the time you're done, you'll go from sleeping on straw mats and wearing tattered clothing to bulding a bungalo and wearing dyed floral-wear.

One nice feature is that you can choose how many shipmates to wreck on the island with.

I played through the game twice. In one version, I took only one charcter and in the other I took the 6 character max.

Unfortunately, after those two games, the second of which I totally maxed about everything a built top-line everything, I have little interest in playing a third time.

Even so, I spent a good 10-15 hours on this game, quite good for the money.Buy The Sims 2: Castaway!

Carnival Games: MiniGolf

I recieved this game as a gift, and was excited to play it. I enjoyed fully the first "LAND", but after that, I was quite dissapointed. The gameplay is not easy at all. Some of the coursed are almost impossible to get a decent score, and forget about scorring coins...your lucky to get 1 or 2 per hole. Some courses there is no skill, just luck, which bothers me to no end. Which means it takes forever to buy stuff from the pro shop. I did enjoy the feature in which you can wager items against another player, but I only have a small handfull of items to wager... I just wish it was easier to play. I get so frustrated I wanna throw my remote...So for repeated play, this game just dosent have it.Buy Carnival Games: MiniGolf!

NBA Live 09 All-Play

This has been great fun for our son and his buddies. It is a huge step up from the previous Wii basketball game that he has owned called "Kidz Basketball" since he can pretend to be a real NBA player instead of being a cartoon character with a funny name. It is very easy to score points and break records unconceivable in NBA; but while this can be a negative for a purist, to the kids it is a lot more exciting to be able to do so. The commentary in the background along with the arena sound effects adds to the excitement.Buy NBA Live 09 All-Play!

MySims Kingdom

My 12 year old daughter loves this game. I insisted she get it because of the Sim brand and I remembered the endless hours I invested into SimCity and SimCity 2000 as a kid. It turns out this is nothing like the two Sim games I remember, though that may be a good thing. She has about 10 hours on MySims Kingdom so far and enjoys it as much as any game I've ever seen her play.

Super Paper Mario

To me this game is not worth $[...] let alone $[...]. The beginning of the game takes about 15 minutes just to tell you a story then you're stuck in the first "world" forever. I guess this game is good for those who have a ton of time on their hands, it's not for the casual gamer. I thought it would be more like the old school Mario and I was definitely disappointed! James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace

This was a great first person shooter for the Wii. Until The Conduit comes out I think that this game is the best FPS on the Wii if you are looking for a great game to start out your Wii game collection. However, this is more of a hardcore gamers game. If you are a novice player you may find this game a little confusing. If you are more of a hardcore gamer then this game will work great for you. My Word Coach

This is a great and fun multiplayer vocabulary building game (many mini-games). If only the game used Miis. The game has its own profile/avatar system, with simple symbols to represent players.

Indianapolis 500 Racing

I first saw this game when I was searching for a good cheap racing game. I found it! This game is easy enough to pick up quickly, yet challenging enough to make you earn your glory.

Plus - video footage from old races in between games, reality of game is believable.

Minus - you pretty much have to unlock everything, while I enjoy a challenge, my schedule does not permit me to spend hours mastering a recreation from the 60's where a driver narrowly dodges three wrecks in twenty seconds (to earn you the chance at the next level)

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII

This is a pretty fun game for messing around. The controls are wonderful, the graphics are good. The gameplay is more for the casual player rather than one who likes a hardcore simulator. The controls take a bit to get used to, but they are pretty intuitive. My 8 and 6 yr old daughters have no problem flying. (actually shooting stuff down is a little more rare for them however).

The only cons for the game I have is that their is no internet play, and you can't go back and do indivual missions from the campaign again. Also when you get to the Battle of Midway it gets really hard because you have to kill so many planes in such a short period of time. That's where I'm stuck right now. House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return

As a kid, I remember playing these two games at the local arcade. I was pro at the games. You gotta admit that shooting zombies is fun.

I beat HOD2&3 in accumulated 1.5 hrs: not even a whole afternoon.Buying the game, you made the commitment of playing it over and over again.

I was disappointed. They made no attempt to touch up the graphics or fix glitches. All they did was take HOD2 PC mode and put it on a disc with HOD 3. There are some fun Training mode things that will help you and ultimately get you an upgrade useable in "origional mode" for NOD2.

Conclusion: Buy it and share it with a friend. It will get old after a month or two.

PS: Aim for the head and shoot everything on screen that is not a hostage! you will unlock secret endings if you score high enough. Use 2.0 caliber bullets in HOD2 in Original mode(I have it in Japanese, so i'm not sure what the translation is in the English version. you'll know what it is when you see it)Buy House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return!

New Play Control! Pikmin

I played this game once at a friend's house on Game Cube. It was a lot of fun! I love having the little Pikmin do my bidding and whatnot. So, I was very excited that Pikmin was coming to Wii! It's EXACTLY like it was on Game Cube, no graphic changes, nothing. The only difference is the controller you're holding; it is a little annoying to me. Pokemon Battle Revolution

I give this one star--less if I could. My 8 year old loves pokemon and never even plays this game. The kids couldn't even figure out how to battle against each other (with my 6 year old) until I had to borrow a diamond and pearl from their grandmother to load on to the wii. To make it even worse, one of their friends brought over his ds and we found that you could only download the pokemon from one ds at a time--his remained stuck on his machine unable to be played with unless we erased all the ones we had previously downloaded. Tell me that makes sense. A horrible waste of $40. Don't do it even if you like pokemon!! You or someone you love will be disappointed!! The game is fine. The graphical style makes it stand out from other wii title. Unfortuately, the horrible music kills it. It sounds like they had only 5 seconds of rap music to loop and loop and loop and loops, and what they had was not good. Within five minutes, it's unplayable without shutting off the sound. Without question, this game that is annihilated by the horrible, repetitive, annoying soundtrack. These days, I expect a lot more from a game in terms of engaging sound-- years ago I played games on my Amiga with 1 meg (yes meg) of RAM that had better soundtracks. You have to have more than a few seconds of annoying, poorly executed rap to make people want to play for hours. I'm afraid the soundtrack really ruins the gameplay experience on this title. It's clear where the budget ran out on this one.

Sonic and the Black Knight

This game is one of the best Sonic games out there. Where Sonic weilds a sword, it is a nice addition to the Sonic series. Think of it as playing a Sonic game, with the same controls to control your sword as The Legend of Zelda twilight princess for the Wii. It has a great story and great graphics. Petz Sports

I bought this product for my daughter who loves dogs and loves Wii based on positive reviews from others. I was quite disappointed. It has very few activities (at least until you play for along time to unlock more) - and they are pretty boring - you can "pet" your dog, "dress" your dog, teach your dog tricks (supposedly) or race your dog. Petting is extremely boring, the dog tricks are really people tricks as you have to point at the screen with your Wii remote and guide a bone through a circle while the dog sits and watches. Racing may be fun in 2 player mode, but for single player there are no other dogs - your dog just runs himself (based on the player pumping the remote up and down). The dogs are VERY cute though and it is fun to name them - but that isn't enough to make you want to play.
My daughter was home sick with nothing better to do and only wanted to play it for 10 minutes before asking to play her other Wii games instead. At my request she gave it more of a chance - but still after a short time was thoroughly bored and has not wanted to play it since that first day.Buy Petz Sports!

Wii Fit Energy Pak

I got this charge station last July when I made a commitment to try to lose weight and get in better shape, beginning with WiiFit.

I have logged over 150 hours on WiiFit since July. I have had no problems with the charger or the board.

I had an occasional problem with communication between the board, the wii mote, and the wii, but I discovered that was because of a big picture window next to my TV that was causing problems receiving the wireless signal. We adjusted the sensitivity of the Wii to the signal, and the communications problems are gone.

Getting the battery pack into the slot on the balance board was not trivial, but I did get it set up without damaging anything. I usually leave the cord attached, so I have to be careful that the cord isn't in the way when I am using the board.

Battery failure is therefore not an excuse to miss a day of exercise. I guess that is a good thing...(and I've progressed from "that's obese" to "that's normal" and can now wear clothes 2-3 sizes smaller than last summer :-))

Littlest Pet Shop

My 7 year old daughter plays this for hours on end. The games are varied enough to hold her interest and have varying skill levels. Some of them require a lot of movement, so she's not just sitting on the couch. I feel better about that. I've even jumped in on a couple games and enjoyed myself. Solitaire & Mahjong

This game is ok but playing Mah Jong on a pc or Mac is better. I found the Wii remote a bit "clumsy" when it came to matching tiles. This Wii version is more difficult. Top Spin Tennis for the Wii

This is a more realistic game of tennis than that of Wii Sports and Sega Superstars Tennis. This game utilizes the Wii Remote to `swing', and the Nunchuck to position your player, aim the ball, and get ready to serve. I found the game was more fun after going through the 2 pages of tutorials. This is not necessarily a game that you can play right out of the box, unlike Wii Sports. Unlike other games before it, it utilizes different physics from one court to the next and the players have different strengths. Not one player is maxed out in statistics, like in games like Tiger Woods (although, in his case, it probably is more like reality but back to Tennis).

Graphics is mediocre but there is no screen flicker or slowdown. There are replays and `screen action modes' to get a zoomed up view of your player; however, it does get old so clicking `B' gets you right back into the action. You can also perform gestures to show your happiness or frustration with your player. Music is actually good, and not repetitive.

Setup of your Wii remote involves holding it on its side, which is unconventional from the standard way to hold the remote, so it is awkward to start. You can opt for Normal Serve or Easy Serve/Special shot with the Nunchuck. What makes this game more realistic is the ability to aim your shot, make your player run to the baseline or net, hit Top Spins or Slice Shots. You can also perform Drop shots and lob shots.

I find Singles play to be easy for me. Conceptually, I cannot get into the rhythm of Doubles play, so I will pass.

Menu navigation is easy. There are three modes: Party, Exhibition and Road to Glory. Road to Glory involves progressing in your seeding through various events. Party involves winning by capitalizing on various aspects of a match.

Go, Diego, Go!: Great Dinosaur Rescue

This is a great game for kids. Very interactive, and self-explanatory. There are pictures on the screen of what the kids are supposed to do, like wiggle the remote back and forth to make Diego climb a ladder, etc. I feel better about letting my child play this game than sitting and staring at the tv, this gets him up and out of the chair, and moving around. He has to pay attention to the plot and make Diego go through the scenes. TV Show King Party

Fun trivia, and not that difficult, so it's good for all ages. The wheel, along with the facial expression of the miis is hilarious if you don't take the competition that seriously. Mercury Meltdown: Revolution

Well if you're a little strap for cash in this season of uncertainty and you are look for good titles less the 30-50 dollar range that other games are price for Wii, then you're in luck. This game comes from a small media company, but it acts as if it's a pricey one. The look and design of this game are amazing I was blown away by the sheer construction of the puzzles and mazes and how complex/fun it is. Mercury Meltdown: Revolution is a puzzle game don't be fooled by the price tag of the game, it does challenge you. So be prepared in a good way. Remember those little plastic mazes with the metal ball in it? same thing only in a video game with a twist to it. The mercury ball can split and come back as one to act as different functions on the different maze levels on the game. The thing to me that frustrated me a bit was a part of the tutorials, that you have to go through when you set up your profile at the beginning of game. the first you play it ( the name you want etc), that being one of the mazes. But after you figure it out, it's simple.you might want to read the booklet first to understand it. Hint: on certain mazes you have to have the right color in order to unlock the gates to pass the next level to do this you must split your mercury ball into two halves and get colors needed and merge back together. sharp corners work well in split up your mercury ball. this game has alot of bang for your buck, so pick up a copy today you won't disappointed. the action is like real time action in real life as if you had the maze in your hands. you use the remote in this game.it's a brain teaser let you think things through.

This sabers are exactly what you would expect for an under $10 price. They work great and are a great value. I tried the more expensive and authentic looking thrustmaster brand, but sent them back and kept these. If you are looking for a plastic glowing tube that attaches to your controller, then you found the right product.
