Having just upgraded from the XBOX 1 to Wii, I was greatly impressed with this game. I read some reviews that panned the graphics etc and I must say its really a perspective thing. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is truly an amazing accomplishment. Everything about this game screams quality. The graphics are beautiful, the sounds are immersive, the gameplay is great as ever, and the controls . . . the controls are simply amazing!

If you like shooters, I'm not sure how you could not like this game. The controls are perfect. I can't imagine how they could be improved (as far as the shooting and moving mechanics work). Using the controller to point and shoot at enemies works flawlessly. There are cool points where you must mimic motions of twisting, pumping, and pulling to perform certain actions. All of these work without blemish. Going back to standard controllers to play shooters is just not as fun after playing Corruption.

The bosses are very enjoyable to fight, and offer a nice challenge (something missing in a lot of games nowadays). You can also unlock harder difficulty settings that make the game even more challenging, which can make for some intense battle sequences.

Voice acting has been introduced to the Prime series with its 3rd (and presumably final) installment, and it is done very well. It's too bad Samus doesn't get to do any talking, but that would take away the mystery wouldn't it? If they had a voice actor for her no doubt some would hate her voice. At least this way the entire problem is avoided.

No multiplayer is something of a negative, but at the same time I wouldn't want to be disappointed like I was with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. That multiplayer was decent, but nothing more. Perhaps it's best that Metroid stays what it's best at--solid, single-player action/adventure.

Overall, you can't go wrong with this game if you like shooters. The controls are superb, the graphics are impressive, and the bosses are a blast. If you own a Wii, then you must own Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.Buy Metroid Prime 3: Corruption!

Tomb Raider: Underworld

I am truly an original Tomb Raider fan--had it on the Sega Saturn (who even remembers that console?) when it first came out. I love these games and was so excited when I saw that there was a new Tomb Raider game for wii! I played it for quite some time the first night I got it. I had trouble saving, checked the directions and some information online and finally got it down...or so I thought. Although I'd made it past the first two levels--with frequent checkpoints AND saving it manually along the way--I came back the next day and it kicked me to the very beginning. I tried several times over that first week and I could never get it to hold a save. It's not a game that you can complete in one sitting (nor would I even have the time to try!) so I had to return it. I'm still bummed that it didn't work but have read that a lot of people are having problems with the wii version. I ordered Anniversary instead, although I still remember a lot about the original game, and hope it gives me the Tomb Raider experience I was expecting.

I will say, though, that barring the bugs it seemed to be a great game and very much like previous versions, which is why I was so disappointed. Four stars for fun (it was headed to four or five from what I got to play of it!) but one star for the bugs.Buy Tomb Raider: Underworld!

Rampage: Total Destruction

I have always loved "Rampage," and have owned a version for almost every system I have had over the years. There is nothing complicated about it, and it certainly isn't a game to dedicate hours to. It's great for a Sunday morning hangover when you don't really want to think but just want to bash some buildings with your mates.

The Wii version plays as well as any of the others. You will definitely want the nunchuk, as controlling your monster is really difficult without it. I tried playing without the nunchuck at first, and it was a disaster, almost impossible to maneuver your monster where you want it to go. You do use the Wii remote a little bit, swinging it to attack helicopters or tanks, grabbing people and eating them.

The cool bits are the unlockable monsters, thirty in all. Some of these are traditional, like a gilman or a minotaur. Some are just funny, like a jackalope. Unfortunately, all of the differences are just cosmetic. It would have been nice for each monster to have some sort of special attack rather than just looking different.

The play environment is more 3-D than previous "Rampage" versions. Not that there is any tremendous depth-of-field or anything, but you can move around a little bit more. The graphics are a boost from older versions too, but nothing spectacular.

If you enjoy previous versions of "Rampage", then you will probably like "Rampage: Total Destruction." It is cheap enough that you can get a copy that you don't play all the time, but just pop in when you are in the mood for brainless bashing. You also get the old school versions on this disk, "Rampage" and "Rampage: World Tour," which makes it even more of a bargain.Buy Rampage: Total Destruction!

This item works well ... I think that i really get Higher definition as opposed the normal cable. But, i have a problem, when we turn on the lights -fluoresents- beside the home it makes some kind of "interference". =S The TV frezzes a few secconds and returns to normal. Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3 Senior Year Microphone Bundle - Wii

I'm a 24-year-old fan of all things musical, including the High School Musical movies. I previously purchased the original High School Musical Sing It for Wii (the one with music from the first and second movies) and was disappointed by the lame graphics and difficult menus... but I still couldn't resist this game when I saw it.

This game is definitely an improvement over the last one! (I plan on ditching my old game completely.) You get to sing along to the actual footage from the movies, and I like the menus much better. All in all I find it to be more user-friendly than the past game, and it has different levels for singing (Easy, Normal, Hard), which is great for beginners. It also allows you to choose which character part you wish to sing by name, rather than having to guess which characters are "Part 1" and "Part 2" in the old game. I thoroughly enjoy this, and went through at least half the songs the first time I played it.

I gave it four stars because I would really like to see an opportunity to download more songs. Wii is a great platform for party/get-together games, and a good karaoke game utilizing the Wii connectivity feature to stream or download songs would be a great thing. Also, I would like to see wireless microphones, because I feel like there's an audio delay between what I see on my HDTV and what I sing... if it had a calibration feature like Guitar Hero, that would improve it tremendously in terms of accuracy.

Sonic Riders Zero Gravity

My friend made me play this game one day. I just hated the game! I was playing great and was hitting nothing just swerving through the course until I saw that I was in last place, wayyyyyy behind. How could that happen? I was playing perfectly! My friend said I had to do some gravity thing to go faster... but that didn't work. Now when my friend gets mad at me, he forces me to play this terrible game even though he knows that I just can't stand even looking at Sonic.

Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution

I have both original versions for the Sega Dreamcast, and I was really looking forward to this version. However it was an absolute disappointment. The game play and characters are very stiff, the controls are horrible (you initiate moves you don't want to do). The graphics are awful, the original two's graphics are far better and they were on a 128 bit system. Gallop & Ride

I got this game about a week ago and have been addicted to it ever since. However I find that I never have enough money for all the things I need to buy.

The foal training is impossible. The foal doesn't listen to my signals and does the opposite of what I want. Since this is the only way to get money at the moment I am broke. Also in the guide it says you can use the control stick riding to train but you can't.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop

Okay. I was an avid fan of the 360 version of Dead Rising. It was great- the graphics were nice, the gameplay was revolutionary and fresh, and the voice-acting was second-to-none. In fact, I was playing it yesterday (because I was hosting a party and didn't know what single-player game would be fun to watch) and my guests were more than entertained when I'd break into the Antique Weapons store, fill up my inventory with Katanas and Battle Axes and run in swingin'.

First off, I must say this- I will be basing my review on comparison to the 360 version. You can call it unfair, but if you've played both, you'll see why.

The graphics for CTYD are alright. Every character has a blurry outline to compensate for the previously superb graphics, now dumbed down to ATI quality.
It's worth mentioning that this game uses the Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition game engine, which means that holding Z will make you run, swinging the Wiimote will make you attack with a melee weapon whereas pointing at the screen and pressing B will shoot, and lastly, YOU CAN'T JUMP.

Everybody knows that in Dead Rising, jumping is a big deal. In fact, all of the cool unlockable moves he uses involve jumping to do so; karate kicking zombies' heads off, drop kicking them in the face and sending them flying, even just jumping on a zombie's head and walking on them like steps- But they took those out, making you rely solely on ammo and bad one-hit-combo weapons.

I didn't play a ton of this game because they changed too much- they gave Otis freeze-frame conversations so he doesn't stop you with his transceiver in the middle of a big fight, but they also added in an RPG-esque level up system, which I normally love, but not when I'm killing zombies in a mall- it feels awkward.

Obviously, the Wii's processor is weak compared to the 360, so you'll only encounter about 5-10 zombies at a time. This normally wouldn't piss me off so much, but in the 360 version, it helps to see where zombies are so you can mess around with them, kill them, or just avoid them. In the Wii version, you can't do any of those things very adequately since most of the time you'll be surprised at the zombies who just appeared out of thin air and have just swung at you, taking away some health.
Speaking of health, they took out the blending station near the skateboard shop upstairs, which, as any Dead Rising fan can tell you, is valuable for making Nectar, Zombie Bait, Spitfire, etc.

Basically, if you've never played Dead Rising before, go ahead and buy this product- you won't know why it's bad compared to it's predecessor. But if you've played this on the 360 and wondered what it would be like to aim at those convicts with a Wiimote, don't bother, it's not worth it. Naruto: Clash Of Ninja Revolution 2

I think this is a worthy upgrade to the original Clash of Ninja Revolution for Wii. There are several characters that have not been seen in other Clash of Ninja games, either for the Wii or GameCube.

There are also some new features, including the Tag Team fights, where you and an opponent can switch between 2 characters in a fight. Specific pairs of characters can do combo specials that are really cool if you're familiar with the characters in the anime or manga.

The controls can be as complex or as simple as you want, which is one of the more innovative features of this series. You can use GameCube controllers, Wii Classic Controllers, Wii Remotes and the Wii Nunchuck. You can also take advantage of some advanced controls, like the new Hand Signs, or just skip those and still be competitive.

While I think this game is very fun and love what's new, I wish they would have done a bit more upgrading to the basic engine of the game. The style and overall structure of the game hasn't change much since the days on GameCube. I feel like there is room for improvement, but overall this is a solid game that will provide a lot of replay value.Buy Naruto: Clash Of Ninja Revolution 2!

PBR: Out of the Chute

Oh come on! This could have been a great game. The problem with this is that it's obviously been created by someone who has only heard of bullriding through rough description. I've actually riden a few bulls myself, and will have to say that this is the laziest result that they could have produced! First, all the riders are right-handed riders. In reality, most riders are left-handed riders because you balance with your non-riding hand. Anyway, letting you select which hand to ride with, like in reality, would have been a simple step, and quite do-able, but the pure laziness of the game developers played a part here. Next, it's virtually impossible to get thrown off! Maybe if you're five and don't like loosing, this game may be for you. But if you've already started to develop fine motor skills, you'll find this game to be quite boring. I actually didn't touch the controller for one of my rides, to see what would happen, and my character stayed on!!! Next, since bull-riding is about balance, this would have been a perfect game for the Wii. Hand movements should be used to constantly reposition yourself on the bull, like in real life. However, again, lazy programmers just have you moving a joystick around. This game is probably the greatest game that could have been, but never was. Thanks Crave Entertainment, for screwing up a game that should have been a no-brainer.

Let's just hope that PBR gives their license to a different company in the future, and they can actually put a bit of effort into this. This could be a great game. This should be a great game. But, for all intents and purposes, it just isn't.Buy PBR: Out of the Chute!

Goosebumps HorrorLand

I bought this game for my brother, 12 years old, and it SUCKS! It takes forever to actually get into the games and the games are these tedious challenges you have to get through in order to get to more "fun" or interesting rides. Seriously, we spent hours trying to figure out how to even play the damn thing. I watched him get frustrated, discouraged, and even bored at points as we tried to figure out how to "unlock" other aspects. Then when you do, the other games are super dull and irritating too.

Also lame, is that there are all of these "rides" included that simply don't work! You click on it and it says "closed" or under construction. There are a lot more fun and exciting game choices for the Wii.

This wireless chuk is great! I enjoy the fishing and hunting games, and the chuk cord always ties me up. NO MORE! I highly recommend this chuk. It plugs right into the Wii for easy recharging. The Godfather: Blackhand Edition

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition would only be so-so if it weren't for the interactivity that the wiimote brings to violence in this game. There's nothing like swinging back and forth to beat someone senseless with a baseball bat, or actually having to grasp and shake the remote as you strangle someone. I also love pointing at the screen to shoot. I've not had so much fun in a long time. The wiimote makes this game addictive.

Setting aside the awesomeness of the wiimote, the graphics are mediocre but not terrible. The game play is entertaining but gets somewhat tedious towards the end of the game. Overall if you're paying less than $25 for the game it is totally worth it. Buy The Godfather: Blackhand Edition!

Sonic and the Secret Rings

I purchased this for my 7 year old nephew. He was very excited to get this game and has had a wonderful time playing it. There are times when he gets frustrated but, once he gets through the section he off again. Very age appropriate! Rapala Tournament Fishing!

I got his for my husband. We set it up and had to go on the internet just to figure out how to cast. The instructions are worthless. After 30 minutes of trying, my husband just said, "I don't like it." But he kept with it and now is OK with it, but not thrilled. I wish I would've gotten it used somewhere. We are not impressed. Wii Maracas

Wii Maracas Quit whining. The Wii maracas are great! Yes they are a little big and no you can't scroll down the screen as easily, but all you have to do is use the arrow keys instead to navigate to the games and music that you want. They are great for helping you hear & time the maraca sound with the beat. I easily got many more points when using them.

My 9 year old has trouble holding them b/c of their size, but people 12 and older ought to be fine with some practice and patience. Please, people, if things don't come easy, we have to throw a fit and get rid of something?!!! Grow up, and have some fun. Life without challenges is boring and creates whiners! These are a great buy, and I'm going to buy a 2nd pair soon.Buy Wii Maracas!

Godzilla Unleashed

Atari's Godzilla game series has started off great with destroy all monsters and was the Godzilla game of them all. realizing the games success Atari released a sequel which was practically the same game with more monsters and power ups. Now mack way for Godzilla unleashed! This game not only improves the series, it also lets it's self known as the first Godzilla game on the Wii and will without a doubt, satisfy any fan of the series. The game keeps the same basics, but goes in a little deeper by presenting the idea of crystals instead of power ups. The game also took the risk of adding two new monsters (Kristalak and Obsidius) with there own unique weaknesses and abilities. They also took godzilla from being the most powerful monster motivating other players to try out new monsters.
This game isn't recommended to players with ether of the games prequels because of there extreme simalareties or to a none-Godzilla fan. Buy Godzilla Unleashed!

Need for Speed: Prostreet

I feel that NFS:ProStreet is the best of all the NFS Games. Graphics are uncomparable, and it's like your right there in the action. The drag races are the BEST and fun for hours. Prince of Persia: Rival Swords

I palyed this game for the first time without playing any of the other insatllments 1 and 2. To me this game is good the fighting with the wii remote is excellent and the camera control is good cause you have total control of it plus landscape view. Tomb Raider Anniversary

If your new to the tomb raider series, as I was, you can just think of Lara Croft as a taller, skinnier, hotter version of mario, with guns. And while it probably lacks the elegance of a Mario Galaxy, the game is more challenging and almost as much fun.

Some reviewers have complained about the gun aiming with the Wii control. This adds an element of difficulty and fun that other tomb raider games lack. But I liked the addition. The only problem was the gun control was a little more sensitive than it should be(compared to say Metroid). But you get use to this and it's not nearly as challenging as some reviewers have claimed it to be. Buy Tomb Raider Anniversary!

Celebrity Sports Showdown

I got this game because the reviews on Amazon suggested that it was similar to Wii Sports. Whereas Wii Sports is STILL fun to play after a couple years, this game has lost its luster after only a couple hours. Whereas the controls for Wii Sports are intuitive and easily picked up even for your mom or grandparents, the controls for Celebrity Sports Showdown are harder to pick up and definitely requires some time to get used to. Whereas Wii Sports you can use your Mii avatar, in this game, you have to use either the group of celebrities or unknown avatars which they call "wannabes". The list goes on and on how this game doesn't quite match up to Wii Sports. The game isn't terrible but it isn't anything to write home about either. Buy Celebrity Sports Showdown!

This game makes sport of doing some tricky maneuvers with the wii controllers and seeing if you can break the record. Some games are suitable for young children's skill level and others require more dexterity. Lots of fun and involves different motions than other wii games - definitely do recommend. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts '09

Hunting games have been given a bad rap over the years, probably because theres much more walking and tracking than shooting (which is easily the most enjoyable part). Now introducing more action to the mix with dangerous hunts, which included mostly dangerous game that would happily attack you, but still giving the game a free, open feel but the same problem as several other Cabela's games. Afterward, Activision released a sequel, Dangerous Hunts 2, which replaced realism and a free feel with action and a story, which was a nice attempt yet felt very empty. Dangerous hunts 2009 has solved the problems with both by having constant animal attacks, but using a large, explorable terrain. The animal attacks are enjoyable and the hand to claw combat keeps the game interesting. Action zone (a mode in which you are merely ported to a location with several dangerous animals awaiting you presence) has not only been returned, but also modified, keeping it short for a quick flick of the action, without 20 minutes of repetitive game play on a keyboard or controller. Sadly though, this game is not without flaws. The game terrain can constantly trap you and confuse you, making travel somewhat difficult and the controls can be a little annoying or hard to remember or reach.
other than the occasional flaw, this game is easily recommendable to any Cabela's game fan, but should be used with a wii gun accessory like the perfect shot for the best experience. Buy Cabela's Dangerous Hunts '09!

Marble Saga Kororinpa

The thirty balance board games on this one is pretty decent, but after that, kind of disappointing. My gf loved the balance board portion of it, but after that, not much else. Everything else uses the wii remote.Buy Marble Saga Kororinpa!

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2

I bought this after I had played Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, expecting it to be very similar. To my surprise, it was not. I finished the game the same day I bought it and it provided no difficulty. Unlike Raving Rabbids 1, it did not grade my performance and the difficulty did not increase. There were not as many scenarios to go through to complete the game and the little mini games were very quick. I was very disappointed and I was skeptical about purchasing the TV version after playing this game but I was glad I decided to purchase it anyway because the TV version provides a lot more hours of entertainment and it has a lot more scenarios than this one does. If you want to try it, I'd recommend renting it. It should be easily completed the same night that it is started.Buy Rayman Raving Rabbids 2!

Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader: Make the Grade

I bought this game for my kids (11 and 6) and I(35) ended up playing it with my daughter almost every weekend. The 4 player multi is great for our family and I like that the questions are pretty challenging so it isn't easy to get the million dollars every time. We really like the spelling challenge as well!
