Rock Band 2 Double Cymbal Expansion Kit

These are ok and worked pretty well except they wouldn't stay up on the polls. Every so often The clamp would slide down. I ended up returning them because of that. Fun while they lasted but too annoying to keep. They are also harder rubber so they aren't as quiet as the RB 2 drum heads. Buy Rock Band 2 Double Cymbal Expansion Kit!

Far Cry: Vengeance

all i can say is that this game is one of the worst games i have ever played on any system. 1) HORRIBLE CONTROLS: when you turn around to look for enemies, it loses it's center point and you end up losing control of your player. jumping is cumbersome and other controls are lazy. 2) Graphics are gamecube standards at best. 3) Gameplay is pretty crappy..most of the time you end up just walking around lost.Vehicles are pretty annoying to shoot from. The predatorian skill is annoying and gets you killed pretty quick because controlling the character is pretty sh#tty!!!Buy Far Cry: Vengeance!

MLB Power Pros

This game does an incredible job of simulating the decision making processes involved when you play baseball. If you want to do the physical aspects of the sport such as swinging the bat or throwing the ball, this is not the game for you. If you do love the strategic aspects of the game, then by all means purchase this and you will really enjoy it. You will have more choices than you know what to do with but those of us who love the game know that this is best part. Dokapon Kingdom

This game is a great way for people, young and old, who play rpgs to come together and have a mario party like time. There is a great balance of skill and luck, and the more you're losing by, the more the game helps you. King of Clubs

I agree with JB's 8/18 review fully. I rented this w/o an instruction manual & played for about an hour & stopped from frustratio.
Menu options: Career, Tournament, Time Clock & Practice (of holes you have unlocked) Single & Multiplayer mode.
You only get a chance BEFORE the game to purchase things. Almost all needs to be unlocked. You start w/$2,000. A pee wee putter is $700, a rubber ball $25? or speed ball $70? can only be used once, changing color of the ball, changing the trail of it, adding more Fx sounds (it needed it), adding the custom characters (you start with a normal looking guy only) & Mulligans (able to re-do a shot $180 each)
Options is only sound level, having the help of knowing exactly where the ball would go including where it would land after bouncing/hitting objects on/off & a rumble feature which I had turned on, but never felt it used once.
During the game you can switch putters/balls.
Camera - angle the camera to look more down or across the course w/o zooming like naked eye. You have to hit a button to see the course from an overhead cam, but it's about 25 ft. up so you can't see the inclines/declines very well unless they are steep.
Course - There are many little mounds of dirt everywhere (the courses are all brown like mud) & other tiny lips & slight inclines/declines that you cannot see even w/the camera, even when within 20 ft of the hole. The courses start out hard immediately & in order to unlock things, you have to get par or under. You get $0-150? depending on how many strokes you used. There are also little money sacks if you ball touches, you get usually about $50 each. There are also bonus blocks, what they do, I have no idea. There is also green & blue rectangles like Mario kart, I have no idea what they do, I was playing bad enough w/o experimenting.
I didn't realize things until I played tournament w/comptuer AI (very bad, either he hits the ball perfect or totally screws up) which way I should go. All of the courses take some thinking & a lot of hazards, things that move, and sometimes even 4 large jumps that if you miss you will hit the hazard. The background, etc. look like cardboard cut outs. Maybe like if it was real, this is how they could do it within money reason. With the muddy colors, it just looks like easy way out to program it, there is no sun, so it looks like playing golf at night w/floor lamps & still there are almost no shadows to help you understand the terrain.
Controls - you hit & release A to decide power meter, when find the level you like hold A & swing.

This could have been good game w/better graphics/shadows to see terrain (or at least a grid like wii sports golf), funny things going on in the background & the characters saying/doing funny things, not just wearing a stupid costume only.

Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy

Blast Works is a very interesting game, and it's nice to have it as a Wii exclusive--even though it makes no use of the Wiiremote's motion sensing controls and only uses the pointer for menu selection. This is a side scrolling shooter that offers tons of variety if you're willing to put the time in to customize levels, ships, etc.

The "campaign," which is just a series of different levels without any plot (not that that's surprising), is decent. It's not great, but it serves its purpose of offering an enjoyable set of missions to pick up and play. It also pretty challenging, and it says that you can play it with two players (I assume simultaneously rather than alternating, but I'm not completely sure). You can unlock some extras (one of which is the Japanese game that Blast Works is based off of), but I haven't unlocked many so far.

What's really cool is that as you kill enemies, you can fly into them before they fall off the screen which attaches them to you. Through this method you can have a massive amalgamation of enemy parts and ships that shoot along with you for added destructiveness. They can be destroyed off of you, but if you keep it up you can virtually fill up the screen!

The big appeal of this game comes from the customization possibilities. Although it takes some time to understand how it all works, once you figure it out you will be making stuff that you couldn't have imagined! You can create enemies, ships for yourself, levels, bosses, etc. There are tons of different types of parts you can use, you can make your blaster shoot in an insanely large variety of ways, and you can even decide how much defense your enemies have. You can create ultra complicated bosses that consist of multiple parts, that fire 10 different kinds of blasts, and are virtually impossible to defeat. Make them big or small, mobile or static, gun crazy or not. Whatever you want to make, you can make it.

The only real problems with this game are rather minor overall. One is that even though you can customize so much, you still have to customize within the bounds of the visual style of the game. Your creations won't be able to look like stream-lined jets or anything. However, you can still create some pretty cool stuff.

The music is definitely sub-par. It's pretty mellow and boring, but not a game-breaker.

The other problem is that it seems to freeze relatively often when loading between screens. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's more often than all of my other games.

Neither of these issues are a particularly big deal, IMO. Although the freezing problem made me knock my review down to a four rather than a five, it doesn't make me regret purchasing this game. For the price, it's really a stellar game. If you like this type of shooter and you enjoy customizing, this is the game for you.Buy Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy!

When it does come to getting down with it and shaking your groove thing for the Nintendo Wii, Dance Dance Revolution has been a great game for anyone who has had felt the need to get away from rocking out too loud with Guitar Hero or Rock Band. But where there always can be a good game, there can be a lackluster accessory that other companies can make for a game, and that sadly is the case with Icon, who has made poor controllers for the Wii before, but for this dance pad for the Dance Dance Revolution games, this definitely is one that does make you want to take a dance break. It doesn't work that well after awhile on the original DDR and DDR2 for the Wii. You honestly are much better off sticking with the one that originaly came with DDR for the Wii instead, and getting another one from Konami directly too for playing with others. I really don't suggest you get this and let the disco ball drop on it.

Got this game for my son for Christmas and we have played and played with family and friends and can't get past 100% Lousey! We have unhooked and rehooked the mic. We have tried to change all the settings to what we thought were better. But some of the reviews are saying that 2 year olds are having a blast with this. WE have not even gotten past the 1st few words of a song under competition or tounament play. We are not all bad singers I promise. Are you supposted to be able to hear the person's voice through the Mic? We hear nothing from the person singing...through the game. We see no arrows or crowd noise meter. Is there something I can do to correct this? Just was hoping someone would know. Was hoping to use this in place of the ROCK BAND since my son always picks to sing.

Rock Stand

I was a little skeptical when purchasing this item because of the reviews by a lot of people saying this was so junky/difficult to assemble. Bratz The Movie

I purchased this game for my 6 yr old, she loves the Bratz. This game requires alot of patience moving around the Bratz girls. You have to use your Wii remote as a pointer to move the Bratz girl around and if you dont move the remote just right you will get stuck in corners or the Bratz girl runs into things. I feel they makers of the game should have allowed you to control the Bratz girl with the arrows on the Wii remote instead of pointing it to the tv screen. My daughter got frustrated with it first, but she kept trying and she is doing a little better. Universal HDMI Quick Switch

This does the job.
I have a Scientific Atlanta converter box and PS3 connected to a Sony Bravia TV. One of the HDMI connectors on the TV broke and I bought this instead of having the TV fixed. When I turn the PS3 on, the TV switches to the PS3 even if the cable box is on. Shut off the PS3 and you are back to TV. It also has a switch to select an input, even with both on.

It comes with all the cables you need, they are somewhat stiff, so the box will not sit on top of anything. I have in hanging behind the TV. I can just reach under the TV and hit the button. The only time I need to use the button is when I am downloading on the PS3 and want to watch TV. The PS3 is the priority for the switch.

If it had a priority for the last device on and would sit better, I would give it 5 stars.

Wii Quick Shot

I previously used the dreamshot and was looking for something similar but with a grip that was slightly smaller. I am still getting comfortable with it as it of course is a change from what I was previosly using. This thing works great with only a couple of issues. The main feature is that the second trigger works as the "A" button. For those of you playing call of duty this will allow you to reload your weapon as opposed to having to hold "Z" and twist the gun which I often time had problems with switching weapons rather than actually reloading so that is a major plus. There were 2 things I had issues with first. If you pull the main trigger too hard I believe this slightly unseats the wii controller which then causes the "A" button to stay pressed which causes constant reloading and keeps you from being able to sprint. This is overcome by using less pressure on the main trigger. Second is that the pass through of the nunchuck is very tight you have to run it through by sliding it through which can be cumbersome. I have an extra nunchuck so this gives me no problem. Granted some may see these as major drawbacks I feel that they can be overcome very easily. Buy Wii Quick Shot!

Wii Table Paddle Set

The paddles themselves have a realistic weight and shape. However while using the paddle with the Wii controller one does not have easy access to the controls. I chose to use this paddle set with the game Rockstar Table Tennis Rockstar Presents Table Tennis and movements necessary to control your characters do not always mimic the actual movements you would make in a ping pong game. This game is full of action and I like that very much. However, I think it has maybe a little too much action. You have to fight something or someone every single 5 seconds. Aside from that, the graphics are great and I would recommend this game to anyone who is interested.

I like the Wii Balance Board pad. Unfortunately the Wiimote jacket was not what I was expecting.

My original wiimote came with a cushioned jacket. That jacket has extra padding on the corners to reduce the risk of giving your tennis partner a black eye while playing Wii Sports. Unfortunately the jacket that I received has no cushion whatsoever and is useless as a safety device to reduce the risk of injury.

It never occurred to me that these jackets were sold with or without corner cushioning. I did not get what I was expecting. Buyer beware.

By the way. This survey asked me on a scale of one to five how much I liked this game. Thing is, it isn't a game, it's an accessory so I only gave one star since I found the survey question to be inappropriate.

The Simpsons Game

This game is fun. You go on different adventures or episodes. It's a great variety of random things, and you never know what to expect after at all it is the simpsons.
They had the actual voices of the characters.

The controls are a little stiff and annoying at times, but I got used to it enough. The game isn't perfect but I still enjoy it. And for the price at less than 20 dollars, this game is defintely worth the price.Buy The Simpsons Game!

Worms: A Space Oddity

After reading all the mixed reviews on Amazon I felt hesitant, but I love Worms so I had to buy it. Before Amazon lowered the price I found one on the cheap around [...] bucks. Well worth that price for sure. The controls can be a little tricky, but if you are an average gamer then I'd say after a round or two you should have no problem.

Getting the game all set up (naming teams, colors, flags, voices and whatnots) can take some time to do (when in Worms has it not) but once you get it all ready it's a lot of fun.

Even though the reviews on Amazon are totally mixed, if you and your friends like Worms I think this would be a great addition to your Wii games.Buy Worms: A Space Oddity!

Wii Rock Band Drum Set

I really like this drum set. I have played on it quite a bit since my nephew got the game in August 08.

Pros:
1) It feels very lifelike; I've never drummed in real life, but it feels like I'm actually playing the song.
2) Adjustable height - great feature depending on who is drumming and the size of the chair one is using.
3) Easy to take apart and put back together.

Cons:
1) It's __loud__. If you are too far away from the TV all you can hear is an annoying tap tap smack smack of wood on plastic. Even playing the game with a less than mediocre drummer can ruin your rhythm because the sound of the plastic drum drowns out the actual drum beat from the TV. It's loud and annoying.
2) The pedal WILL eventually break. My nephew and his friends only play the game when I am in town (which is over breaks and during summer). Despite this, the pedal has already broken on the drum set (it's 7 months old).
3) I don't like the color. It really stands out and can be quite an eyesore.

Looks great lit up very bright, very sturdy, fits the wii mote snugly.

the bad-
completely blocks the infrared beam for menu access, partially blocks sensitivity with the game, makes moves much harder and more frustrating than they are with out it on, also adds weight so your hand gets tired quicker.

my advice, skip it, and buy a force fx saber to look at , and use the regular wii mote to play any star wars games.Buy Wii Light Sword!

Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk

I was anxious to try an aviation game with Wii and selected Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk. The controls are fairly simple and easy to get used to, although I had to get used to holding the nunchuck in my dominant right hand (I usually hold it in my left). The game is challenging and fun and probably good for young and newcomers to this genera of games. I also liked the affordable price and the E for Everyone rating.

So why the low rating? My progress in the game came to a screeching halt when I finished level 10. To progress in the game and unlock additional levels, you must beat several challenges. These are basically completing previous missions with time limits and/or with limited weapons. The time limits are very short and can be very short. They can also be frustrating while you watch the time run down while your wait for targets to become available. Also, there are no difficulty levels. This would allow you to develop game skills more fully.

Not being able to get past the challenge to unlock level 11 I was ready to abandon this game all together. I decided to check online to see if there was any help in how to get past this challenge and found that there was a cheat available for this game. If you create a profile name of TUNGHA you will have a save file called cheat. This will unlock all missions, challenges and aircraft. Now you can really have some fun and attempt the levels with various aircraft/weapons. The game may become redundant and may get boring to advanced gamers.

TNA Impact!

The moves are a little hard to pull off and it seems like their done at random with the Wii-mote. There's a couple graphical gliches and the game overall feels a little watered down. On the up-side, I love the animations, especially when you hit them with a chair and they go flying across the ring screaming. The story mode is pretty cool too. Wish they had more types of matches like ladder matches, six sides of steel or battle royal. It doesn't have create-a-wrestler feature which would have been awesome. More weapons and blood would be nice...and they definetly need to have the TNA Knockouts on there too. I don't regret buying this game, and it's a great first attempt by TNA. Hopefully with all the player feedback, we will see an improvement in their next game! It was definetly worth the wait and anticipation....much better than Raw vs Smackdown 2008!!!!!!!!!Buy TNA Impact!!

This game looks like the hurried up and made it as fast as possible. THe characters mouths dont even move when they speak. The graphics are terrible and the game just isnt that challenging. Ok, what I liked, didn't like, and why -

This is a very cheaply made game. There are no moving character. Every video game out there is just that a VIDEO game. This is a comic book game where the characters are popped on the screen and a bubble appears over their head. There isn't even talking. You have to read the bubbles. OMG. I thought we were light-years beyond this. ATARI GAMES WERE BETTER THAN THIS. And this is Wii!!!?????!!!!! The INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE GAMING OF THE FUTURE?

Ok, I'm in my 30's and love puzzle games, etc. You know, where you are given two pictures and are asked to find the differences? Kinda fun right?!

Well, that's it for this game. You find either objects in a picture or the differences in a picture. This is the bar game I mentioned in my title. That's it. That's all this game does. Swear, it doesn't get any better. This game has absolutely no interactive qualities. None.

I'll sell you mine if you are interested for your kid. I would think the age group would be between 8 and 12 maybe? It might hold their interest for 30 minute snatches but I seriously seriously doubt it.

I, like many of you, purchased this guitar because the reviews looked decent and the price couldn't be beat. After about 5 minutes of playing, I packaged it back up and I'm sending it back. The buttons on the neck are so stiff, your hand will hurt after 1 song. Also, the + and - buttons are in a different place than on the original guitar, making it more difficult to hit blindly while playing.

Other than that, it's a nice guitar and seems to be pretty well made. The strum bar is a bit stiffer too, but I didn't mind that so much. If the stiff buttons or the placement of the + and - buttons doesn't bother you, then it's probably worth the money. But if you're like me and you're interested in playing the hard and expert levels, you'll never get there with this guitar.
